I never got a clear indication as to what failed.
Personally, I think this was simply a result of not properly fixing the
initial failure. A dealer in Florida attempted to fix this problem and they
failed miserably. It took me limping back to Missouri and my home dealer to
get the issue resolved. The final solution was a remanufactured
transmission. Things have been fine since. |

18K miles. Would randomly miss 1-2 and 2-3 WOT shifts
leaving engine at Governed 6500RPM. Could be shifted back into lower gear.
Did this 4 times. Possible it was also the cause of surge between 2500-3000K
RPM cold in 1st and 2nd gear.

Modded tune to 50% TM and added line pressure
for the last 5k miles. Removed slip bang 1-2 shift. Would chirp tires at WOT
1-2 and 2-1 shifts after tune. Had some extreme towing: Was weighed at dump
at 9500LBS with trailer. (4855LB trailer loaded.)
