I have not personally tested or evaluated this system for performance so this is for informational purposes only.
The IEATSRT8 intake system is similar to the Vector CAI with a couple improvements. The first improvement is all silicone couplings. Vector uses hi-temp rubber *** for their 90 degree coupler where it connects to the throttle body instead of premium silicone. And finally you will notice the IEATSRT8 system uses smooth mandrel formed bends instead of multiple cut ad TIG welded peices. See Vector /IEATSRT8 picture comparisons here
As an option IEATSRT8 also offers a rubber seal around the intake were it enters the airbox. This should lower IAT temps since its sucking cooler air from the front of the airbox and not the hot engine compartment.
The intake is sold as a complete system from the throttle body to filter. This includes a larger K&N filter than the stock Trailblazer SS K&N replacement.
If you opt for the IEA Relocation kit, you have the option to chose a push in or thread in design. IEATSRT8 will set the intake up either way. I prefer IEATSRT8's push in design over Vectors push in design because the sensor goes in a drilled hole with a rubber grommet instead of just drilling the hole in the rubber coupler and pushing it in. Both ways work equally well I am sure, but IEATSRT8 just pays a little more attention to detail.
Detailed removal and installation instructions with detailed pictures and text are included for the CAI. Installation instructions come with the HSRK as well.

Powdercoat COLOR NOTE: I ordered the powdercoat option and would not do it again. The quality of the powdercoat is poor and although it looked great at first, it did not hold up well.
The coating started flaking off under the rubber and moving out into the main exposed area. Also when cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner it basically destroyed the finish (this came after the bubbling started). I ended up wiping off the powdercoat using thinner down to shiny aluminum which had not been prepped in the slightest for paint. Not the powdercoat I am used to...
Note: Airbox seal is included free with IAT relocation and CAI combination purchase.
